Campus ServicesCounseling Center

whole-person wellness

All full-time traditional MVNU students are eligible for free counseling.

The MVNU Counseling Center believes that Christian counseling is an activity endorsed by God to help His people who are distressed, uncertain, or hurting. It is the desire of the Counseling Center to obey the scriptural directive in Galatians 6:2, when we are instructed to "bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Our philosophy is built on the assumption that counseling must address the whole person as a physical, rational, sexual, emotional, social, and spiritual being. Therefore, our goal is to promote personal wholeness.

Our Counseling Center provides a nonjudgmental, fully confidential atmosphere for students to seek guidance and a listening ear. We offer a range of professional counseling and consultation options. All information is private and will not be shared with anyone without the student’s permission.
Operating hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Location: Inside Student Life Office, on second floor of Hyson Campus Center

To make an appointment click here. After completing the online intake forms, a counselor will contact you. There is no cost for the counseling service.

"Counseling was truly the best thing for my mental health and the ability to be open about my life without judgment was great."
